Michael B

Total agreement there.

Bland is also the drummer on the '92 Prince/["Artist formerly known azz"] & the "new power generation" album with the tunes "My Name is Prince, Love 2 the 9's, The Morning Papers, The Max, I Wanna Melt w You, Arrogance, the Flow, Da** U, 7, Sexy MF, & God Created Woman," etc.

"7" & "Morn Papers" are 2 of my faves...the voc harmonies in 7; & MB does some nice work on "Papers," esp. towards the end....

There has been talk of John Blackwell, but quite frankly the BEST drummer Prince ever had was Michael B. Check out SHH from the Gold Experience cd to see what I am talking about. Blackwell has nothing over Michael IMO.

Hey does anyone know what albums Bland is on with Prince? I remember hearing some live song that was just smoking...hopefully it came from a live cd.

[FuseU1]

hanayalator - see my edit/re-post, above...this is the only 1 i have w Bland on it.

I'd like to hear some live MB w Prince AW...I'm sure MB's even more devastating on the live stuff ;c)

FUZE!!!

Even my 6 and 4-yr old boys love that 7 tune, and I KNOW it's cuz o' dem harmoniez.

U foegotta menshun Money Don't Matter 2 Nite... one of the all-time skr8-ahead play-alongs then-TAFKAP-reverted-back-to-Prince ever made, besides I Wanna Be Your Lover...

Agreed on that SHH tune, Rand-man... the highlight of that CD.

Haha, he hits the drum so damn hard, but what a sound, and so tasty and clean. Check the short break at 2:22
